Pairi Daeza - Phosphene Island LP

Somewhere beyond the seriousness of everyday life lies a living garden where colours never fade, forms keep dancing and adventure lurks around every corner. A territory at the edge of the tangible world, untouched by time, yet ruled by joyful movement. It is not a place you simply visit: you inhabit it, cherish it, and let your imagination grow within it.

With Phosphène Island, Pairi Daeza bring back the ripest fruits of this lush archipelago. Voice, aerophone, trumpet, bass guitar, samplers, drum machines and an array of percussion assemble like curious creatures. Loops dissolve into a richly orchestrated whole, synthesizers with sometimes raw timbres converse with rhythms and textures, while harmonies tirelessly trace a path toward the light.

Do not try to locate it on a map or scan the horizon for its contours: Pairi Daeza is an inner garden, both theirs and yours. Shaped by Nadia Mars Goodwater and Quentin Qoté Thirionet, the project has grown over years of concerts, residencies and shared research within a vibrant scene across Brussels, France and beyond. It speaks of love, travel, friendship, and the DIY eutopias built alongside Manufacture Errata, SILO, Nonlocal Research…

Phosphène Island is a treasure that gathers fourth-world heritage, traditional musics reimagined in the age of digital folklore, playful pataphysics and the dreamlike improvisations of jazz fusion. Inside the chest lie new age psychedelia, surrealist micro-compositions and an exalting minimalism. The album will be released on 23 October 2026 on vinyl via the Brussels-based label moli del tro.
